Ludicrous speed without the ludicrous price tag. I challenge anyone to justify spending nearly twice as much for Dura-Ace in order to drop 220 grams. I’ve run this group for a year now, and aside from having to pay really close attention to chain wear (inherent in 11 speed systems) it is seriously durable, light, precise, and performs better than I expected. A few design tweaks over previous series like the front derailleur cable slack adjuster make this one of the best designs to hit the market.

My only complaint: the stock brake blocks were not great. I’ve been spoiled, admittedly, but four weeks in I swapped them out for dual-compound Kool Stops. The Shimano pads did not bite hard enough, and they didn’t feel powerful until you really started cranking down on the lever, making for tough modulation. Also they appeared to be wearing quicker and picked up aluminum shards off the rims early and often. $15 later I was good, though.

Shifting with this new groupset is by far the smoothest I've had of any previous Shimano groupset. The rear derailleur runs flawless. The brakes look and feel a little better as well although minimal differences. Everything was well packaged and this kit included everything needed except for the bar tape :-) Excellent

I just upgraded my 17-y-o Ultegra triple 9-spd group set to this newly designed mechanical compact-11 spd setup. The shifting is crisp and the rear derailleur functions flawlessly with an Sunrace 11-36t cassette I used.
